Yay... I made spaghetti all on my own for dinner today. Not bad for a first timer, even if I do say so myself. Heh heh... :P

Coped up in the house for around 42 hours before I finally stepped out into civilisation. Felt as if it had been a decade or something. Tampines Mall NTUC is undergoing renovations and all the foodstuffs were majorly shifted. Didn't even know where to find the things I want la.
Almost bought a pair of Charles and Keith shoes. But the salesgirl's attitude was really quite bad. So we decided to buy it at another branch. :(

Caught the common flu for no apparent reason, since I haven't gone out at all during the past 2 days. And the Chinese herbal tea seriously tastes BAD. Yucks... :S

Just logged onto internet and received an email from one of the Dumpers. He had told us during the camp that he had a friend who went to London for a heart operation. 15 this year. In the email, he said that the operation was unsuccessful and was unconscious for a week already. He was told that her heart had just stopped beating and the doctors were trying to save her. This is so saddening. So young and had to bear the torment of illness and is on the verge of death. People, please help to pray for her. Thanks...

Came back from camp yesterday night.

Heya guys! Back from the student camp at All Saints Church/Anglican High. There's only one word to describe it and that is FANTABULOUS! Haha...

Firstly, I met up with some old friends. Most of which were my ex-schoolmates and ex-student care centre mates. Though I didn't really go and talk to them, it is pretty interesting to see how much they've changed. :)

Secondly, I got to know lotsa new friends. The first group being the group leaders and camp committees who had been so helpful and hospitable to newbies like us. Then there were my dear groupmates, otherwise known as the Dumpers! Haha... I know it sounds pretty awful but what other names can you derive from a group name like Dumper Truck? :P There's 13 peeps in my group. Ling Ling jie and myself as the group leader and members like Marcus, Elson, Zhong Yun, Amanda, Cindy, Vivien, Xue Ting, Jonathan, Ming Song, Daneil and Kwee Hong totally rock my socks! Haha... Now that the camp is over, we should get together some time. You know, reminiscent the fun times we had as the Dumpers. Haha...

Lastly, I have experienced God through this camp. As this is an evangelistic outreach to the youths, there will be a chance for us to spread the gospel to them besides just having fun. And guess what? Out of the 4 non-Christians in my group, 3 accepted Christ la. Haha... So happy! :D Well, I've seen how God uses us as His tools for His great works and as Ling Ling jie had said, we should empty our own vessels aka fears and doubts and just let God fill it up. I seriously didn't know how God was going to use me despite the fact that 1, I do not know how to lead. 2, I don't know a single thing about the people there and 3, I only have a very vague idea on how the camp runs over there. (Notice how my fears begins with 'I'?) And even if I do, I've already forgotten coz the last camp I've went to at All Saints was when I was in Pr 3? Yeah. So, it get inevitably discouraging la. Coz its like I'm the group leader and they are showing me the ropes instead (I don't mean anything negative) like I should not bathe during the bathing time coz we will get all hot and sweaty after the night games and worst of all, they are practically strangers to me and I will have to live with them every second for 5 days and 4 nights.

So I was praying that I can really interact with them la. Coz I felt that I have missed out quite alot for the first half of Day 1 due to the forum I had to attend at St Nicks. Felt that all ice was broken from whatever things they had done earlier that day. But I thank God that by Day 2, I was able to blend in with them after the CSI: Student Camp we played at night. It's not really my cup of tea, the game I mean. And I slacked alot coz I didn't know how the game was supposed to be played. Haha...

Anyway, there was this Tian Cai Zhi Ye on Day 3, which is sort of a Talentime la. Each group is given a fairytale with a different genre to act to with our own scripts in front of the entire camp. My group got the Little Mermaid, action version. Haha... The story is actually about this policeman who turns undercover as a mermaid to catch this criminal intending to rob from the Riverbank Bank. Get it? Haha... Much to my horror, I was sabo-ed to be the mermaid la. I was telling them that I would most probably get up there and laugh myself down. But they said that they will help me say my lines downstage. So I only need to stand up there and look pretty (which I haven't actually done) for the part where the transformation of a man to a mermaid took place. Haha... It was plain crap la. :P

From this camp, I'm glad to say that I can bring along with me fond memories, new friends and better knowledge of God. I did think that I'll have to slog during the camp but in actual fact, I received so much more. Student Camp 05: Ni Wo Wu Jie Xian completed!

Up and coming, SACC Parish Camp sets off this Sunday after service. Headed destination: Sunway Lagoon KL, Malaysia. Cons: More Packing, more headache. Pros: Fun, fun and more fun! :D No la. Not just that. More fellowship and time with God! Yahoo! :)
